SOC Prison Correspondence Course Update
"...I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Matthew 25:36
2010 has been a fruitful year for the Prison Correspondence Course across the U.S. opening doors to over 300 new facilities and ministering to hundreds of new inmates. We have graduated more inmates this year than in the four previous years combined. The testimonies that continue to come in let us know that we are in the perfect will of God.
We are now in over 1050 prison facilities across 40 States. We never dreamed that the SOC Correspondence Course would have this kind of effect in the prison system, but the power of God's Word working in the lives of men and women who are genuinely hungry for truth has made this ministry affective through the Holy Spirit.
We continually receive calls from Chaplains and Prison volunteers asking for the School of Christ Correspondence Course telling us they have never seen a Bible study more effective and life changing than ours. Again, the testimonies we receive from our students verify the power of the Holy Spirit's working through the School of Christ.
Only God can change a life, but He must have a tool. Pastor Clendennen always believed that the School of Christ was just such a tool God could use.
One student from a Texas facility wrote us recently and told us how God has used this "tool" in his life. He writes, "The truth that is preached has done amazing things in my walk and relationship with the Lord. I know for sure it has deepened my prayer life. And not only has it made me strive to be more obedient, it has given me the truth and tools to enable me to be more obedient. This course has made me more of a faithful doer of the word instead of a struggling hearer. (Thank You). I could go on and on, but there's not enough paper or lead in this pencil to describe all the changes I know that have taken place in my life because of God's grace and the uncompromising truth that is preached through yall's ministry."
Another amazing testimony comes from a woman in an Arkansas prison who wrote and told us that she had planned to hang herself with her bed sheets but waited until after mail call because the guards don't come through again for awhile. She had received a white packet in the mail addressed to her; it was the School of Christ Correspondence Course. She was angry because she didn't ask for it, but after looking over the material, the Holy Spirit moved so compassionately over her that the love of Christ melted her and made her a new creation. Her life was not only spared from the plans of the devil, but she was born-again into the kingdom of God.
Here is a testimony of how far reaching the School of Christ can make through just one student. An inmate wrote and told us that he was so deeply moved by the intensity of the course that he sent it to his wife who also was greatly stirred. She took it to her Church and showed it to the pastor who has begun using it as their Sunday school curriculum. Someone from the class took it and began to use it for his men's Bible study at his home.
Praise God, the Holy Spirit knows no bounds, but as the wind, He moves freely to all those who are genuinely hungry for truth. We have hundreds of testimonies, each are unique in how God has ministered the School of Christ and changed lives. Several have said they found the course in a garbage can, and what the devil meant for one to miss, God used to change yet another. There are no bounds in the spirit realm, and nothing is impossible with God!
Please continue to pray for this great end time work. If you are praying about supporting a ministry work, this is one that bears much fruit. Many, many on that day will have been won from the highways and hedges through the faithful giving of God's people.
